Control Mosquitoes All Season Long
The In2Care® Mosquito Station Reduces Mosquito Populations Safely And Effectively – Without Toxic Sprays.
Protect your family from the mosquitoes that carry Dengue, Chikungunya, Yellow Fever, Zika, and West Nile Virus. The In2Care Mosquito Station is designed to control mosquito populations with minimal environmental impact.
The innovative, EPA-approved trapping system attracts and kills female mosquitoes with novel green ingredients that target both mosquito larvae and adults, effectively turning mosquitoes into their own worst enemies! The female tracks larvicide everywhere she lays eggs, preventing those eggs from ever growing into adult, biting mosquitoes.
The larvicides and fungi specifically target mosquitoes and are safe for use around humans and pets. They’re also harmless to bees and other pollinators!
Traps are small, inconspicuous, and easy to maintain. Each one covers up to 4300 square feet.
Why In2Care
If you want to make your yard more comfortable without spraying chemicals on your plants (or yourself), In2Care Mosquito Stations can help you achieve that goal. There are a few reasons we’re excited to offer this product to you:
It’s safe.
- Non-toxic mosquito population control: Unlike traditional mosquito control methods, the In2Care mosquito trap uses a non-toxic approach that is safe for children, pets, and the environment.
- Targeted action: The trap specifically targets mosquitoes using a unique technology that reduces the need for harmful chemicals that could pose risks to your family and pets.
It’s effective.
- Attracts and kills mosquitoes and their larvae: The In2Care trap uses treated water to attract egg-laying Aedes and Culex mosquitoes. Once inside, mosquitoes are contaminated with a larvicide that kills their larva and a fungus that kills the mosquito.
- Larvicide carrier: Contaminated mosquitoes spread the larvicide to multiple breeding sites, ensuring a broader reach and effectively reducing mosquito populations in your yard and beyond.
It’s economical.
The average property in our area requires about three stations, making In2Care affordable and easy to maintain. Stations need only basic servicing every 4-6 weeks.
How does it work
Crafted from durable plastic, the In2Care Mosquito Station features specially treated water that attracts egg-laying Aedes and Culex mosquitoes—species known for posing serious health risks to both people and pets.
Once inside the Station, mosquitoes come into contact with treated gauze near the water’s surface. This contaminates them with a larvicide and a mosquito-specific fungus.
When they leave, mosquitoes carry the larvicide on their legs, spreading it to their own breeding sites. This takes advantage of their natural behavior of laying eggs in multiple locations.
By turning the mosquitoes into larvicide carriers, the Station helps eliminate larvae in small, hard-to-reach breeding sites. The fungus also infects the mosquitoes, killing them before they can transmit diseases to humans and animals.
A greener solution
Did you know that insecticide resistance has become a major problem in countries infested by Aedes and Culex mosquitos? Area-wide insecticide fogging is still being used but it’s now showing limited efficacy — and it also has a huge negative impact on other important organisms.
It’s time to switch to more sustainable, environmentally friendly solution. The In2Care Mosquito Station is the first to use a biological control agent to kill mosquitoes.
Instead of relying on toxic insecticides, it deploys a US EPA-approved fungus that kills the mosquito several days after contact. It also uses a larvicide that can prevent disease transmission by reducing the number of larvae, effectively preventing a new generation of biting mosquitoes.
The Station larvicide is safe enough to be both US EPA-approved and WHO-recommended for mosquito control. It’s so safe that it’s even approved for use in drinking water. Both bioactives have short half-lives and pose very low risks for non-target organisms – that is, anyone who’s not a mosquito.
In2Care Mosquito Stations deploy a small dose of the bioactive mixture in an enclosed point-source environment that is specifically attractive to mosquitoes. Only tiny amounts of larvicide will get spread to other breeding sites (mostly small man-made containers), which is enough to kill mosquito larvae (as <10 ppb PPF works well) but not enough to cause risk for non-target organisms like fish or mammals. In this way, In2Care offers an effective mosquito control option without the drastic use of chemicals in the entire environment.
